Activities


The full and varied Activity Programme has been carefully planned by the Principal, who has over the years, liaised with overseas schools and teachers to develop a structured Leisure Programme, most suitable for Young Learners.

In the 12 - 17 age range. All activities, as programmed, are included in the Course price.

On arrival in Poole, students will receive a programme, which outlines all the School sessions and the daily activities and excursions. 


Sports

Our well planned sports activities are an important part of the course, a variety of activities are offered and are all included in the course price.

Volley ball/ badminton/ table tennis and squash are all played at local sports centres.

Whilst tennis and mini golf are played in the tranquil setting of Poole Park and swimming at the nearby Dolphin Pool.


The facilities of the Tower Park complex are combined into our programme with the exciting splashdown, cinema and bowling.

All sports activities are fully supervised by our teachers and leaders.

Horse-riding, Sailing and Windsurfing can be arranged at an extra cost.

In the evenings and at weekends our Activity Leaders are available to organise extra activities (please note that where these are programmed, they are included in the Course Price, otherwise a small extra charge is made).

Excursions

The programme of full day and half day excursions will include a selection from:

The Dorset coastal tour, with visits to Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle.

Beaulieu – the stately home of Lord Montagu - with the National Motor Museum and Palace House. This trip can be combined with visits to the New Forest.

The ancient city of Salisbury, with Stonehenge close by.

The historic city of Bath, with The Roman Baths, The Museum of Costume, The Circus and the Royal Crescent. On this trip we are also able to offer visits to The American Museum at Claverton Manor.

All of our groups visit London.

With entrances to one of the main attractions,  Madame Tussauds, The London Eye or The Tower of  London – a  sightseeing tour is organised and there is always time for some shopping

Other Trips include:

Portsmouth with visits to the historic ships of HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.

Winchester, with guided tours of the city and visits to Winchester College.

Wimborne with the Minster and Friday morning market.

The old town of Christchurch with its Priory and famous headland at Hengistbury Head.

Boat trips are arranged to Brownsea Island, in Poole Harbour - the home of the boy scout movement, it was here that Lord Baden Powell set up the first boy scout camp.
